Iron ORE Pellet Plant

14 MTPA

    • State-of-the-art highly mechanised ESG-compliant Pellet Plant
    • 5 Km conveyor belt connecting to all-weather Paradip Port

 

The proposed Pellet Plant will produce two grades of pellets, one suitable for use in the Blast furnace (BF) and another for use in Direct Reduction (DR) plants. The plant is designed to produce up to 8 MTPA DR grade and up to 6 MTPA high-quality BF grade.

Why Pellets?

Pellets are a better feed for iron making as compared to other ferrous materials due to their benefits:-

    • Uniform size
    • High metallization rate in direct reduction
    • Increased permeability in blast furnaces to optimize fuel rate
    • Lower slag volume and impurities, higher yield and lower environment emissions

Green

Pellets are the enviro-friendly feed stock for iron making that minimise emissions and improve productivity. The state-of-the-art Pellet Plant has been designed keeping in mind the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) philosophy of putting environment at the centre of all activities. The entire facility is highly mechanised with highest level of automation . Both Beneficiation and Pellet Plant will have Zero water discharge principle.

Further, natural gas will be used as a main fuel in the induration furnace of Pellet Plant, a much cleaner process as compared to other fuels. Also, the Pellet Plant main stack connection with Induration furnace will have advanced process gas cleaning system to reduce flue gas emissions.
