The plant, built and operated by Essar (later acquired by AM/NS), is the fourth largest single location flat steel producer globally. With 80 km rail, 35 km road and 26 km conveyor connectivity, the facility leveraged three different iron making technologies at a single location.

Designed 9 MTPA pellet plant for CVRD (Vale) in Sohar, Oman, and 6 MTPA pellet plant for Tata Steel in Odisha, India. The nickel slurry pipeline was built in Madagaskar.
